Learning Form in Drawing: Rome

A 5-Day Workshop in Rome, Italy:

Drawing from Sculpture: 15 ~19 October 2018
Inspired by The Classical Period & Italian Renaissance
(For all levels of ability, Tutor speaks English, intermediate Italian)

Bring new vitality, volume and presence to your life & still-life drawing, with Tutor, Randy Klinger, Artist, Scotland/USA

Understand form in a personal, expressive way, rather than through academic training; based upon seeing rather than concept, you will learn a perceptual, rather than theoretical approach ~ with the overall intent of the bringing forth of the poetic and the beautiful.

...Explore the Classical and Medieval influence on Renaissance painting: As Classical Greece expanded into Italy, Rome became its heir, and the inspiration of 15th c Florence was Classical Rome... the examples of sculpture and architecture unearthed in 1400, paved the way for a national pride and upsurge of creativity throughout Italy. We will visit the superb Vatican collections, but see some lesser known sites, equally beautiful...yet a lifetime is not enough to experience Rome!
